Paul Glossop

As a Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education, I lead postgraduate programmes that prepare teachers not just to teach, but to transform. My work sits at the intersection of inclusion, innovation, and insurgency β€” where online learning becomes a tool of liberation, not containment.

What I do

I equip educators to:

  • Design learning spaces that honour neurodivergence, anxiety, and difference
     
  • Integrate AI ethically and relationally, not as replacement
     
  • Build hybrid and virtual schools where disenfranchised students don’t just survive β€” they thrive
     
  • Reject standardisation in favour of deeply human-centred models
     

Through teaching, research, and collaboration, I’m building a movement of educational disruptors who refuse to settle for systems that fail the most vulnerable.

  • Deep expertise in teacher training, digital pedagogy, and SEND strategy

I don’t do edtech theatre. I build the future of learning by starting with the students most often left out.

Current Focus

  • Leading the development of a Postgraduate Certificate in Online Teaching
     
  • Organising the Beyond Physical Walls conference on online schools for excluded learners
     
  • Researching how online and AI-enabled schools are transforming outcomes for:
     
  • Neurodivergent students
     
  • Learners with anxiety or trauma
     
  • Students excluded from mainstream settings
