Beth Holmes

Beth is a higher education lecturer, coach, and advocate for inclusive pedagogy who helps educators create equitable learning environments, both online and in person. With expertise spanning teacher education, educational development, and inclusive online teaching, Beth develops curricula that promotes relationship-first pedagogy and inclusivity. Her work bridges theory and practice, connecting educational frameworks to real-world classroom transformation. 

Beth champions collaborative leadership mechanisms that amplify teacher voice in educational spaces. Through The Bigger Picture Coaching, she supports school leaders and educators to make values-led decisions that authentically reflect their educational principles: moving from aspiration to action in their SEND provision, curriculum design, and institutional culture.

A committed advocate for history education, Beth sees the teaching of history as essential to developing critical thinking, understanding diverse perspectives, and preparing students to engage thoughtfully with complex global challenges.

Beth's current projects include supporting community building and inclusive practice in digital learning spaces, helping early career teachers to develop their leadership practice, and demonstrating how the history curriculum can advance critical thinking in a digital world.
